This annual recognition highlights 40 individuals under the age of 40 making a difference in West Michigan. Since 2002, the Grand Rapids Business Journal has awarded over 600 dynamic young professionals who have achieved personal success and made significant civic contributions to our community.
On Wednesday, October 28 at 7 pm, we will be revealing the 2020 #grbj40under40 class for the very first time to the public! Save the date, prepare the bubbly and tune in to hear this year’s honorees’ 40-second stories, plus an inspiring message from Distinguished Alumnus Daniel Williams, President and CEO of West Michigan Center for Arts & Technology (WMCAT).
This year’s class will be revealed to the public on Wednesday, October 28, in a new, digital format. We’ll be highlighting these 40 individuals and their 40-second stories in a virtual presentation and each of their profiles will be featured in the November 2 issue of the Grand Rapids Business Journal.
GRBJ’s 2020 40 Under 40 Distinguished Alumnus
The Grand Rapids Business Journal has named Dr. Daniel Williams, president and CEO of the West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology, the 2020 40 Under 40 Distinguished Alumnus.
A leader in urban education and facilitator in design thinking, Daniel works to bring equity and innovation to West Michigan, the State of Michigan and now on a national level. Daniel’s community work around racial equity and opportunity contributes to WMCAT’s work to provide equitable access to social and economic opportunity, as well as the growth and progress of West Michigan.
