Jane Clark, Holland-based Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce president, has been designated a Certified Chamber Executive by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. The CCE designation signifies the highest quality of performance in chamber management. The program assesses and tests the applicant’s knowledge of core chamber management areas, including management, planning, development, membership, communication and operations. Clark is one of six chamber professionals to earn the Certified Chamber Executive designation in 2020.

The Muskegon Museum of Art reopened with Shaping the Future, Celebrating the Past, an exhibition that explores the various facets of its internationally recognized permanent collection in all of its galleries through fall of 2020. Each gallery in the museum features a different theme with displays of works representing various facets of the collection.

The city of Grand Rapids’ collaboration with May Mobility and its electric autonomous vehicle pilot, Grand Rapids Autonomous Vehicle Initiative, has earned the Outstanding Achievement in Local Government Innovation Award from the Alliance for Innovation.

The Hope College board of trustees appointed to its board the Rev. Eddy Alemán of Grand Rapids and Dr. Llena Chavis of Holland.

Hope College is the recipient of a $320,498 grant from the National Science Foundation to support the purchase of a mass spectrometry system that allows for the identification of molecules within complex biological and environmental samples and high-resolution analysis of synthesized molecules.
