Jennifer Dentler, Allegan General Hospital’s Spirit of Women coordinator, was one of 10 alumni inducted into the Outstanding Alumni Academy of the Western Michigan University College of Health and Human Services. Dentler was honored in recognition of outstanding leadership and practice in improving the health of women. Through her practice, she has focused on women’s health and enriched the lives of women and their families. She has worked at Allegan General Hospital since 2004.

The Michigan Department of Transportation announced the Transportation and Development Institute of the American Society of Engineers selected the reconstruction of Plainfield Avenue as an example of how public agencies and the private sector can work together to accomplish green initiatives. A paper on the project was presented at the institute’s Green Streets, Highways and Development conference in Austin, Texas.
