Wolverine Building Group has received a Tax Credit Award from the Michigan Historic Preservation Network for restoring Cottage 36 at Grand Traverse Commons, the former site of the Traverse City State Hospital. Owner LC Companies contracted Wolverine as general contractor and Concept Design Studio as architect for the renovation of the 32,000-square-foot building. Cottage 36 was renovated into 29 high-quality affordable housing units, completed in late 2012.
