A downtown entertainment venue opening this winter will host a job fair to fill open positions.
The $16-million 20 Monroe Live in Grand Rapids, owned by The Gilmore Collection and managed by Live Nation’s House of Blues Entertainment, will host the event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at The B.O.B., at 20 Monroe Ave. NW.
The venue, which is connected to The B.O.B., is looking for “rockstar candidates who love music, work hard and want to be a part of Grand Rapids’ exciting new home for live concerts and entertainment.”
The venue is hiring for numerous positions: bartenders; servers; cocktail mixologists; security; cooks; kitchen staff; stagehands; event production; hosts; and box office personnel.

The 36,000-square-foot 20 Monroe Live is a roughly 2,600-capacity venue and features a VIP room upstairs with a private bar and walk-out patio, as well as a four-season beer garden and an alleyway for large parties.
The venue announced this month its first lineup of concerts, from Umphrey’s McGee to Lynyrd Skynyrd to Peter Frampton, which will kick off Feb. 1 and continue through May.
