A pair of CPA firms in the region have merged.

Grand Haven-based Walburg+Associates has joined Brickley DeLong, which also operates locations in Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Hart.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

As of Jan. 1, Walburg+Associates fully operates under the Brickley DeLong umbrella.

Walburg principal Curt Walburg said the seven-person firm conducted an “extensive search” to find a partner that has the same "client-driven values," before finding the right fit with Brickley DeLong.

By adding an office in downtown Grand Haven, Brickley DeLong will have better market integration at the lakeshore and in Ottawa County.

Additionally, Brickley DeLong will benefit from Walburg’s specialization in the construction industry.

“The combination of our complementary teams…will bring growth to our firm, service lines and industry niches,” said Donald Swick, managing partner, Brickley DeLong. “Walburg+Associates has demonstrated admirable leadership over the years, and we are excited to benefit from their knowledge.”
