An appliance maker in the region has formed a new partnership with a multi-state homebuilder.

Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool Corporation said yesterday it has signed an exclusive three-year agreement with Century Communities, a Greenwood Village, Colorado-based homebuilder, to equip new homes with Whirlpool, KitchenAid and Jenn-Air brand appliances.

The agreement became effective on Aug. 1.

Bob Bergeth, general manager of contract builder sales at Whirlpool Corporation, said Century Communities “shares our passion for excellence and commitment to high-quality products,” making the agreement an “ideal relationship."

Century Communities, founded in 2002, builds homes, townhomes and flats in Colorado, Georgia, Nevada, Texas and Utah.

It is also the parent company of Jimmy Jacobs Homes and Grand View Builders.
