An appliance maker in the region has extended an exclusive agreement with a national homebuilder for three of its brands.

Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool Corporation said yesterday it has signed a contract to continue its more than 30-year relationship with Fort Mitchell, Kentucky-based Drees Homes through 2019.

The contract includes the company’s Whirlpool, KitchenAid and Jenn-Air branded appliances, which will be featured in homes by Drees Homes.

David Metz, VP of national purchasing and operations at Drees Homes, said the company “looks forward” to continuing to offer “top brands” from Whirlpool Corporation in all of its homes.
