A local architecture and design firm has named a new principal.
TowerPinkster recently announced it has promoted design architect Shawn Parshall, AIA, to principal. In this new position he will be leading and cultivating efforts in certain markets to grow and strengthen relationships with clients and guide project teams to successful outcomes.
“I’m honored and excited for the opportunity to expand my role and continue my leadership journey,” said Parshall. “I’ve built my career at TowerPinkster because I believe in the culture, the team and our incredible clients.”
Over the past 14 years, Parshall has participated in the design and execution of hundreds of TowerPinkster projects, including work with Kalamazoo Public Schools, Coldwater Community Schools, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Ascension Health Borgess, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kalamazoo and the new Veteran’s Homes in Grand Rapids and Southfield.
“Shawn is a visionary designer with extensive experience in a variety of project types. His skill in communicating design concepts to clients creates efficient solutions for complex renovations and new construction,” said Bjorn Green, president and CEO of TowerPinkster. “Shawn’s leadership skills and passion for design provide our clients and project teams with a well-rounded perspective.”
A licensed architect in Michigan and Indiana, Parshall graduated with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from the University of Michigan. He is a LEED-accredited professional, certified by the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design organization and has received his Construction Documents Technology certification.
