A Grand Rapids architecture firm has a new department, complete with a new leader.
TowerPinkster announced the creation of a structural engineering department as well as the hiring of Matt O’Callaghan to lead the department. The firm now offers architecture, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering, interior design, landscape architecture and planning services.
“With the creation of a structural engineering department our project teams will be able to offer clients another level of services and capabilities,” TowerPinkster President and CEO Bjorn Green said. “This addition will allow us to strengthen our position in a highly competitive marketplace.”
With more than 10 years of experience, O’Callaghan joins TowerPinkster to lead the new structural engineering department.
“Joining TowerPinkster appealed to me because of the opportunity to start and grow its structural engineering department,” said O’Callaghan. “I am excited to be part of a team known for its fantastic culture and that is passionate about delivering great, collaboratively-driven projects to our clients.”
O’Callaghan holds both civil and structural engineering licenses and most recently led a similar department at another architecture firm.
O’Callaghan has a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a master’s degree from University of Texas.
“With the addition of Matt to our firm, we are able to enhance our level of service and knowledge for our projects and use his expertise to partner with current and new clients,” TowerPinkster Director of Professional Services Don White said. “We are excited to have him start and lead our structural engineering department.”
