Health concerns are forcing the closure of a contemporary arts center in downtown Grand Rapids.
The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, which is owned Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University, temporarily closed Thursday. The center will remain closed through March 31.
The Fed Galleries of Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University also will be closed until March 31.
The closure, UICA said, is an effort to protect the health and well-being of its student workers, members, visitors and staff amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
