An auctioneer is selling hundreds of acres of farmland in the region.
On Nov. 10, 255 acres in Eaton County and 158 acres in Barry County will be offered for auction by Columbia City, Ind.-based Schrader Real Estate and Auction Co.
The tracts of land are mostly farmland.
"Most of the land on both farms is tillable, with the exception of a 40-acre wooded tract with a stream running through it on the Barry County property,” said R.D. Schrader, president, Schrader Real Estate and Auction Co.
“Both locations also include tracts with road frontage. This will be of interest to local operators and investors alike. With our system of bidding, people can make offers on any combination of tracts.”
The auction will begin at 6 p.m. in Bellevue Township at Bellevue Jr./Sr. High School, located at 576 Love Rd.
Employees from Schrader will be on hand with information about the properties.
Inspections at the properties will be accommodated from 2-4 p.m. on Oct. 12 and Oct. 29.
Online bidding is available by request.
