An auto supplier has named a new director of operations.
Coastal Automotive said last week it hired Toby Curry for the role.
Curry is responsible for leading the company’s manufacturing work and further developing systems to increase efficiency and manufacturing.
The Rochester Hills-based company operates a plant in Holland.
Coastal Automotive is a safety product manufacturer, using new foam-based products to enhance safety and reduce compartment sound in vehicles.
Previously, Curry led projects and teams for global automotive suppliers Magna Mirrors and Johnson Controls.
He has 20 years of experience in manufacturing, with 10 years in leadership.
He earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Grand Valley State University.
“It’s great to have a guy with Toby’s experience aboard,” said Sean Dwyer, chief people officer, Coastal Group. “He’s a great fit with our company. He’s going to help us get better at what we do.”
Curry said Coastal Automotive is “a hardworking, dependable provider for the automotive industry.”
“I’m excited to see what we will accomplish in the years to come,” he said.
