An automotive supplier in the region is being honored for its excellence by a European luxury car maker.
Zeeland-based Gentex was one of 15 companies around the world to receive a Global Purchasing Supplier Excellence Award from Coventry, U.K.-based Jaguar Land Rover in May.
The awards recognize suppliers that have made a contribution to the company’s business, cost transformation and operational delivery over the past 12 months, with the winners picking up either a gold, silver or bronze award.
Ian Harnett, director of global purchasing at Jaguar Land Rover, said the winners demonstrated “dedication and hard work,” as well as “attention to detail” over the past year.
Gentex — a supplier of digital vision, connected car and dimmable glass technologies for the global automotive industry — received a bronze award in the product engineering category.
“Gentex is honored to be acknowledged for excellence by one of the industry’s most select brands,” said Neil Boehm, VP of engineering and CTO, Gentex.
“We look forward to the future as we work together to bring new technologies to market, delivered with the same distinct quality for which we’ve been recognized today.”
