A bank in the area has opened a new branch at a senior living community.

West Michigan Community Bank opened last week a 450 square foot, full-service branch inside Sunset Manor & Villages in Georgetown Township, at 725 Baldwin St.

The organizations said today that the branch is serving Sunset residents and employees on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

“We are continually looking for ways to strengthen the relationships we have in our community, so partnering with Sunset was an easy decision,” West Michigan Community Bank President Phil Koning said.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony at the branch, the bank’s seventh in the region, is scheduled for 11 a.m. on June 10.

The bank branch “exemplifies our commitment to provide residents with access to convenient amenities,” said Steve Zuiderveen, CEO, Sunset Retirement Communities and Services.

Sunset Manor & Villages also provides residents with a beauty salon, billiards room, chapel, computer lab, fitness center, general store, library, swimming pool and wood shop.
