West Michigan’s largest independently owned accounting firm is growing its leadership team.
Grand Rapids-based Beene Garter LLP said Wednesday, Sept. 15, it added four partners to its roster: Brandi Clark-Hubbard, Sarah Pattison, Elizabeth Potocki and Jennifer Stolsonburg, who were all promoted from within the firm. The addition brings the firm’s number of partners to 17 — eight of which are women — out of its over 100 employees.

Brandi Clark-Hubbard, partner, certified public accountant — Clark-Hubbard has 16 years of experience serving clients in a variety of industries, including construction, small business, and food and agribusiness. Her expertise includes assisting clients with quality control, accounting and auditing standards, internal control and risk management, financial reporting and corporate taxation. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Ferris State University.
Sarah Pattison, partner, CPA, certified construction industry financial professional — Pattison has more than 11 years of experience serving the construction and small business industries. Her areas of expertise include audits, reviews, compilations and consulting for local businesses and organizations. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and finance and Master of Science degree in accounting from Grand Valley State University. She is recognized as a top construction financial professional and received the 2021 Construction Financial Management Association’s (CFMA) 40 Under 40 award.
Elizabeth Potocki, partner, CPA — Potocki has 17 years of experience assisting clients in the construction, manufacturing, real estate, small business, and food and agribusiness industries. She has specialized knowledge in state and local tax, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Her areas of expertise include state income and franchise tax, property tax, sales and use tax, and payroll tax. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University. She attended Michigan State University and earned Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in accounting.
Jennifer Stolsonburg, partner, CPA — Stolsonburg has 15 years of experience assisting clients in the manufacturing and distribution industries. Her areas of specialty include employee benefit plan (EBP) audits, financial reporting and analysis, and inventory management. She guides plan administrators to ensure they have compliant defined contribution plans. Stolsonburg earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Aquinas College. She also is certified in advanced defined contribution plan audits through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
