A local company is rolling out another cocktail mixer.

Grand Rapids-based Brewt’s, maker of the Brewt’s Bloody Mary, Caesar and Brewt’s Hot Sauce lines is taking online orders for a new product, Brewt’s Margarita Mix.

Brewt’s Margarita Mix is available for purchase online at Brewtsmix.com, Amazon.com and Faire.com and will hit retail shelves throughout the Midwest on March 1.

Brewt’s all-natural Margarita Mix recipe is a handcrafted cocktail mixer recipe created, produced and packaged in Brewt’s co-packing, kitchen and development facilities in Michigan, which opened in 2019.

Brewt’s take on a proper, classic margarita mix features just three ingredients: fresh-squeezed lime juice, simple syrup made from scratch and Lebanese orange blossom water.

“As per usual with Brewt’s, there are no preservatives and no artificial flavoring or coloring,” the company said. “Mix with your favorite Tequila and enjoy life’s party.”

Brewt’s was founded in Grand Rapids in 2015 by CEO Emily Griffen and co-founder Luke Alan, named after their chihuahua, Brewtus.

It started off as an early entry into the natural, handcrafted cocktail mix market with a healthier alternative to standard, high-sugar bloody mary mix.

Brewt’s Bloody Mary now is sold in over 1,800 locations throughout the Midwest.

After moving into its kitchen and co-packing facility in 2019, the company debuted Brewt’s Bloody Caesar and announced its entry into the hot sauce and condiment market with Brewt’s Consuela’s Hot Sauce line, based on recipes from Morelos, Mexico.

“As we continue to grow, in 2022 we’re ecstatic to (finally) be releasing our two organic, all-natural margarita mixes,” the partners said.

Brewt’s plans to grow its presence in the retail and on-premise sectors in 2022 by entering the alcohol market with canned Brewt’s Bloody Mary, Caesar and Margarita ready-to-drink mixed cocktails.
