A local chain of breakfast restaurants is opening another location in a former Blockbuster.
New Beginnings Restaurant recently announced that it will be opening a location in Grand Rapids later this month at 5202 Northland Dr. NE.
The 3,600-square-foot lease was negotiated through Bill Tyson of NAI Wisinksi of West Michigan, who represented the property owner, Roger Vandenberg, and Fred Otterbein of Liberty Realty Corporation, who represented New Beginnings Restaurant.
Renovation on the space is in the works.
New Beginnings Restaurant has 12 locations in West Michigan.
“The often challenging business of restaurant real estate is not a simple linear process,” Otterbein said.
Otterbein said that without the “trust and excellent working relationship” his firm has experienced with Tyson, NAI Wisinski of West Michigan and the property owner, “our search for the prime restaurant location would have continued.”
