West Michigan breweries have brought home several accolades from a beer competition.

Bell’s Brewery, Perrin Brewing Company and a handful of other West Michigan breweries were recognized at the 2019 World Expo of Beer last month in Frankenmuth.

Gold, silver and bronze awards were given in 41 categories covering beer, cider and mead.

The competition judged over 800 entries from across the U.S., as well as Canada and Germany.
