The CEO of a brewery in the region is leaving her post.

Bell’s Brewery co-owner Laura Bell announced she is relinquishing her role as CEO, effective May 18, according to a Brewbound article posted Friday evening.

Brewbound cites and shares a memo on the change from Bell to the brewery’s distributors.

Bell said after almost 11 years at the company, it is time for her to explore “other passions and interests,” Brewbound reports.

“We are not selling and will remain a 100 percent, independently owned family business,” Bell said in the letter. “I will remain on the board of directors and will still have a role when it comes to making big decisions for this company.”

The letter also said Bell’s father, Larry Bell, will oversee operations and senior leadership of the company he founded in 1985, Brewbound reports.

Laura Bell began working full-time at the brewery in 2007 and served as marketing director between 2009 and 2013, according to Brewbound. She was appointed VP in 2013 and CEO in 2017.
