A brewery is expanding its presence in a pair of Midwest states.

Saugatuck Brewing Co. will fill out its distribution in Ohio and distribute into Wisconsin.

Distributing in Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio since May 2014, Saugatuck Brewing will partner with Beerco/City Beverage, Maple City Beverage and Premium Beverage distributors to fill out its Ohio distribution footprint.

Beechwood Sales and Service will handle the brewery’s distribution in Wisconsin.

Other Midwest states

Prior to the moves, Saugatuck Brewing began distribution in northern Indiana and Minnesota in September 2014.

Production growth

The brewery is the midst of a massive growth streak, brewing 4,000 barrels of beer in 2013 and brewing 7,500 barrels last year. This year, the company expects to produce nearly 13,000 barrels of beer. A barrel is about 31 gallons.

“As our production capacity continues to grow, we are very pleased to be systematically moving into new markets and bringing our beer to the increasingly savvy craft beer drinker,” said Ric Gillette, president and CEO, Saugatuck Brewing Co. “Plus, we couldn’t be happier with our new and existing partners.”
