A brewery will host a “harvest”-style dinner next week to support a nonprofit.

New Holland Brewing Co. will produce Rocktoberfest, a five-course food-and-drink pairing event on Sept. 29 at New Holland Pub on 8th in downtown Holland.

Each course is inspired by rock ‘n’ roll and paired with a beer or spirit.

Music for the night will be provided by The Shrock Brothers.

Proceeds go to Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank.

“We’re excited to have such talented chefs and experts here at New Holland for a dinner to celebrate the fall harvest, but more importantly, we’re excited to help raise more awareness and money for Feeding America West Michigan,” said Fred Bueltmann, VP of brand and lifestyle, New Holland Brewing.

Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank works with more than 1,100 food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters in 40 Michigan counties and serves an estimated 492,100 people annually.

“It’s really fitting that New Holland Brewing would use a dinner like this to draw attention to the issue of hunger in our community,” said Ken Estelle, CEO, Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank.

“It’s a sad fact that one in seven people in our region lack reliable access to nutritious food, especially because we know that Michigan has more than enough food to go around. Our greatest needs are funding and awareness, and New Holland is addressing both with this event.”

Tickets are $65 and include food, drink and entertainment. They can be purchased online.

New Holland Brewing has called on a variety of experts for the night, including five chefs and three pairing experts.
