Brewery job fair
This Saturday, Michigan’s largest brewery, Bell’s Brewery, will host its first career fair at its Comstock Brewery facility in Galesburg, at 8938 Krum Ave.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bell's is producing the job fair in partnership with the EmploymentGroup.
The brewery will conduct interviews for more than 100 full-time and part-time positions.
Along with interviews, Bell’s leadership will be in attendance to discuss working at the company, and tours of the brewery and light refreshments will be available.
“This isn’t just a career fair,” said Carrie Overton, director of human resources, Bell’s Brewery. “It’s about adding to our family. Because of the tremendous support we have received from our community and our fans, we are growing, and we need more people.”
Bell’s currently employs more than 290 people in the 20 states its beers are distributed.
Twenty of the positions will be filled immediately in several departments: maintenance, packaging, shipping and receiving, facilities, housekeeping and Internet technology.
The rest of the positions will join the Bell’s team in 2015 when various expansion projects are completed.
The brewery said its workers receive a variety of benefits: health insurance with dental and vision coverage; a 401(k) program; paid vacation and personal time; wellness programs; life insurance; and brewery-related perks.
“The Bell family takes great pride in the fact that we provide world-class benefits that provide peace of mind for our employees and their families,” Overton said. “And yes, that does include beer.”
