A brewery in the area is rolling out a new specialty package of dark brews.

Comstock Park-based Perrin Brewing Company recently released its 2018 barrel-aged bottle pack.

This year’s package features one 22-ounce bottle of Perrin Reserve chocolate stout, one 22-ounce bottle of Malted Milk Ball porter and a 10-ounce glass.

Perrin Reserve is a triple-mashed Russian imperial stout aged in brandy barrels. The beer was made with bourbon-barrel-aged honey, caramelized lactose and aged on golden raisins.

The Malted Milk Ball imperial porter is brewed with lactose and spiced with vanilla and cacao nibs and aged for nine months in oak bourbon barrels.

The barrel-aged packages are available in limited quantities at the Perrin taproom in Comstock Park, at 5910 Comstock Park Dr. NW, and at stores statewide.

Perrin Reserve is also available in limited quantities on tap and in single bottles exclusively at the taproom.

Malted Milk Ball is only available in the specialty package.
