A brewery in the area is releasing two seasonal beers today.

Comstock Park-based Perrin Brewing Co. will release two spring brews: Grapefruit IPA and in Michigan only, Michigan Cherry IPA.

The two beers will be available today on draft at the Perrin taproom, at 5910 Comstock Park Dr. NW. Six packs of cans of both beers will be available at the taproom starting on March 18. The beers will begin hitting restaurant taps and store shelves on March 18.

The Michigan Cherry IPA was brewed with Traverse City Montmorency cherries and Michigan Cascade hops and clocks in at 5.3-percent alcohol by volume, or ABV.

Grapefruit IPA is 5-percent ABV and is “filled with aromas of citrus, tropical fruits, a delicate tartness and sweet malty backbone.”
