A brewery in the region is releasing a specialty beer — and hosting its Blondetoberfest.
Thee Blondes Brewing in South Haven, at 1875 Phoenix St., will release Big Sweet Mama, a Russian imperial stout, at a Platinum Club members-only release party at the brewery today, from 5:30-7 p.m.
The specialty stout is brewed with raspberry and vanilla and aged in rye whiskey barrels from Journeyman Distillery, located in Three Oaks.
The Platinum Club members party will also feature free appetizers. Members may bring one guest.
Big Sweet Mama will also be available to the general public tomorrow, during Three Blondes’ first Blondtoberfest at the brewery, from 11:30 a.m. until 11 p.m.
The event will feature doughnut flights, children’s activities, a corn hole tournament, live music and three other specialty beers from head brewer Jake Demski.
Big Sweet Mama will be on tap for a limited time and available in 200 bottles. Purchases will be limited to two per customer.
