A local brewery is turning three tomorrow.

Mitten Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids, at 527 Leonard St. NW, will host its third-anniversary party all day on Saturday.

To celebrate the day, the Mitten installed a brand new tap system and will have 24 beers on tap at the party, including the brewery’s first sour beer and an oak-aged barleywine.

Also included in the day is the brewery’s first tap-room-only bottle release, with about 100 bottles of Big Fella Imperial Porter.

The brewery will also be giving away prizes throughout the day and feature a red carpet and photo booth.

Live music from Hazy Past will begin at 7 p.m.

Mitten Brewing Co. opened in 2012 on a three-barrel brew system before expanding to a 20-barrel brew system in a production facility nearby.

The brewery was also awarded the President’s Award this week by the Association of Fundraising Professionals West Michigan Chapter for its philanthropic mission.
