Building products maker hires marketing director

A man with more than 20 years of B2B marketing experience is the new marketing director for a local maker of building products.

Grand Rapids-based National Nail Corp. said last week Greg Palmer has taken on the role.

The company serves the residential and commercial construction industries.

Palmer will oversee marketing, advertising, public relations and social media for the company and its brands, including PRO-FIT Fasteners, CAMO Edge Deck Fastening and STINGER Cap Systems.

W. Scott Baker, president and CEO of National Nail, said Palmer is a “dynamic and experienced” addition to the company.

He also said Palmer’s “extensive marketing background and database management skills” will benefit National Nail’s growth initiatives.

Previously, Palmer served as SVP of marketing for Positive Promotions and director of marketing for Essentra Components, formerly Reid Supply.

He has directed customer and product database management, direct mail and collateral, ecommerce, as well as the web development and management of "more than 360 websites."

He is also experienced in social media, email marketing, print and digital advertising, trade show management and public relations.

Palmer holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Michigan.
