A casino in the area has named a new executive.
David Bennion has been hired as the senior director of food and beverage at Gun Lake Casino, effective immediately, according to the casino last week.
He will oversee all areas of food and beverage operations for Gun Lake Casino, including Harvest Buffet, Sandhill Café and the bars.
Bennion has over 20 years of experience in casino environments and has planned and opened over 25 restaurant concepts.
He began as an executive chef at Turning Stone Resort Casino and assumed roles of increasing responsibility. He has also served as executive chef at Pala Casino Resort and Spa, director of food and beverage at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races and director of food and beverage at Hollywood Casino Columbus.

Bennion is classically trained in French and international cuisine, health, hygiene and restaurant management from Colquitt Culinary College in England.
