A casino in the region is hiring more than 100 employees to staff new amenities in its 73,000-square-foot expansion.
Gun Lake Casino in Wayland will be hosting several job fairs in West Michigan to find employees for its new 300-seat buffet, gaming space and bar.
Employment opportunities include cooks, servers, security officers and game dealers. Most are entry-level positions with on-the-job training, though some require experience.
“We’re excited to offer new amenities for our guests and are equally as excited to offer so many new jobs for our community,” Gun Lake Casino VP and General Manager Brent Arena said.
Arena said the casino offers full-time team members "a highly competitive benefits package."
The casino will hold three job fairs next week to staff the positions:
March 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Crossroads Conference Center in Grand Rapids
March 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Radisson Banquet Room in Kalamazoo
March 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Tribal Government Complex across from Gun Lake Casino
Candidates are encouraged to apply online prior to attending the job fairs, where on-site interviews will be offered to qualified applicants. Candidates must be 18 or older for a number of positions, while some require candidates older than 21. Those offered employment must pass a drug screen and background check to obtain a gaming license.
