The Grand Rapids Chamber has named the recipients of its Create Great Leaders awards.

Nkechy Ekere Ezeh of the Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative is receiving the top award, Distinguished Community Trustee, for demonstrating “exemplary trusteeship.”

There are three other award recipients under the program: Luis Avila of Varnum, Outstanding Emerging Leader Alumni; Michelle Meulendyk of Amway, Outstanding Leading Edge Alumni; and Meg Wheeler Derrer of Greater Good Partners, Outstanding Leadership Advantage Alumni.

Each recipient will share a personal leadership lesson at the chamber’s Create Great Leaders Annual Fundraiser on June 20 from 5-8 p.m. at The Union Pavilion at Railside Golf Club in Byron Township, at 2500 76th St. SW.

Proceeds will help provide scholarships for Create Great Leaders programs, such as Leadership Grand Rapids.

Tickets are $100 for chamber members and $120 for non-members.

Registration expires on June 17.
