There’s a new VP of operations at a chain of pet-supply stores.
Grand Rapids-based Chow Hound Pet Supplies said this month that it has promoted Kevin Williams to the role.
Williams has worked for the retailer for 17 years, most recently serving in the role of general manager.
In his new role, Williams said he’ll be responsible for “determining strategies that will allow the company to improve the way we do business and continue to grow,” as well as implementing those strategies with “direct communication down to management team.”
Williams will measure results and hold the management team accountable in achieving its goals.
He will also serve as a support to the marketing team and purchasing department to deliver best practices and prices to the chain’s customers.
He studied engineering and business at Western Michigan University.
Chow Hound, founded in 1989, operates eight stores in Grand Rapids, Holland, Grand Haven and Jenison.
