City opening Rosa Parks Circle ice rink

It’s time to get your skates ready.

The Rosa Parks Circle ice rink, located at 135 Monroe Center St. NW, is scheduled to open its season at 3 p.m. on Nov. 23, and will remain open until Feb. 24, weather permitting. The rink will be closed on Christmas Day.

Along with skating, the ice rink will host numerous winter activities throughout the season, including the city’s annual Christmas tree lighting on Dec. 1.

Admission is $1 for youths and $3 for adults, 21 or older. Frequent skaters can purchase punch cards; 12-punch cards are $10 and 24-punch cards are for $18.

Season passes are $20 for youths and $50 for adults. Payments can be accepted through credit cards, cash and checks. Admission cost includes skate rentals.

Skating lessons for all ages also are offered.
