A local senior living company will begin construction next week on a $9-million community in the area.
Grand Rapids-based Leisure Living Management said today it will break ground on Grand Village Assisted Living and Memory Care in Grandville, at 3939 44th St. SW, on Nov. 9.
The new facility will be Leisure Living Management’s 25th location in Michigan, with more planned in the area.
“We are excited about bringing our distinctive model of smaller assisted living and memory care communities with high-quality personalized services to Grandville, “ Leisure Living Management President Neil Kraay said.
Grand Village
Expected to open by fall 2017, the 43,000-square-foot Grand Village will feature 32 assisted-living apartments and 14 memory-care apartments.
The apartments will be suited for single occupancy or couples.
Leisure Living Management said staff will be on hand at the community for daily assistance, including meals, life-enrichment activities, laundry and other social events.
