A West Michigan hard cider maker is rolling out its third packaged product.
Grant-based Ridge Cider Co. said yesterday it released its seasonal raspberry cider in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles to retailers, including Meijer and D&W Fresh Market stores, in the Grand Rapids area.
The raspberry cider is made with fresh raspberries from West Michigan orchards, with no added sugar.
Ridge Cider released its first two packaged ciders, Hop’d and Porch Sittin’, in May.
“We’ve already exceeded the benchmarks we set for retail sales in the first couple months, and we’re thrilled to add a summery, fruity cider into the mix for the rest of the year,” Matt DeLong, o-founder, Ridge Cider Co. “Feedback from stores has been positive, and customers are happy to be able to find our products on the shelves.”
Ridge Cider Co. was founded in 2015 by DeLong and Co-founder Bruce Rasch.
Members of the DeVos family purchased 51 percent of the cider maker last year.
