Triangle Associates Inc. named Pat Cebelak its new president less than a year after he joined the company.
The Grand Rapids-based company also appointed Jim Conner to become its executive vice president and chief operating officer.
“We have been developing new leaders and working on succession planning for a number of years at Triangle,” said Craig Datema, chairman and chief executive officer for Triangle. “Pat and Jim are key senior associates who complement each other and have shown promise and potential as leaders. Together, they will continue to grow our firm’s reputation and collaborative culture to best support our clients’ experience into our second century of business, while they also groom the next generation of leaders in our company.”
Cebelak and Conner will be tasked with executing the daily operations of the company. Cebelak also will oversee the company’s administration, finance and risk management operations.
“I am honored to be a part of the Triangle team and excited to help guide Triangle into the future,” Cebelak said. “With the leadership and support of our fantastic Triangle staff, we will deliver exceptional value to our customers while growing the company.”
As the executive vice president and COO, Conner will oversee the business development, pre-construction and construction operations of the company.
“Triangle has always been about the people we work with and the people we serve in this community,” Conner said. “My goal going forward is to give our employees the right tools they need to succeed, so they can continue to provide top value to our customers. We’re building on great tradition and history here, and I am excited to help lead Triangle into our next 100 years of construction excellence.”
Prior to his promotion, Cebelak served as the senior vice president of finance. Before Triangle, he was the president of IMPCO Microfinishing, a manufacturing company in Lansing.
For the past six years, Conner was the senior vice president of business development for Triangle. Before joining the company, he was the West Michigan regional director for both Barton Malow and Granger Construction.
In addition to Cebelak and Conner, Triangle’s remaining members of the executive leadership team are Datema and Mitch Watt, who is the senior vice president and partner of the company.
