A local construction firm has a new director of operations.
Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. said this month it named Jeremy Amshey to the role.
He replaces Bill Ogden, who retired last month following 40 years with O-A-K.
In the position, Amshey will oversee project management and field operations.
“I am honored that the board selected me to serve in this role,” Amshey said. “Working closely with Bill Ogden for years, I’ve learned what it takes to be successful in an ever-changing industry. We have a great group of people here at O-A-K, and I’m eager to see what the future holds.”
Amshey joined O-A-K in 2008 as a project superintendent and became a project manager in 2009.
Amshey is a board member of the Rockford Education Foundation and a mentor at the Grand Rapids Public Schools Academy for Design and Construction.
He holds a construction management degree from Ferris State University and an associate’s degree in architectural graphics from Grand Rapids Community College.
