If you’re looking for a present for a new homeowner who loves do-it-yourself projects, a local company might have the tool for you.
The November-December issue of This Old House magazine, or TOH, which is a consumer publication for home how-to articles and inspiration, features “The TOH Top 100: Best New Home Products” — including the CAMO Marksman Edge by National Nail Corp. in Grand Rapids.
The Marksman Edge is designed to support the gap-less installation of treated and other softwood lumber and can work with secondary spacers when projects require a gap.
The contractor-grade tool attaches to any drill, and a built-in CAMO driver bit controls the depth of drive.
The tool gives homeowners an “economical, easy-to-use way" to install a "barefoot-friendly deck,” said Greg Groenhout, CAMO product manager, National Nail Corp.
The product sells for $34.95.
TOH editors spent months testing and examining thousands of products to find the most distinctive, helpful and innovative new home products in seven categories: kitchen, bath, tools, building products, outdoor living, home tech and finishing touches.
“Every year, there is an endless list of new home improvement products introduced to the marketplace,” said Scott Omelianuk, editor, TOH. “We sift through them to identify the ones that will actually save our ten million readers time and money, while enabling them to fix up their homes with greater ease and style.”
Each winning product in the "Top 100" ranking is labeled with icons such as “money saver,” “easy upgrade,” “eco friendly,” “splurge” and “made in America.”
National Nail Corp. is an employee-owned maker of building products and service aids for the residential and commercial construction industries.
