Pinnacle Construction hires chief development officer

Pinnacle Construction Group recently hired Floyd Wilson Jr., Ph.D, as its new chief development officer.

Before joining Pinnacle, Wilson was COO at the Cancer and Hematology Centers of Western Michigan. Prior to that, he was chief administrative officer and executive vice president at Metro Health.

Wilson is an active member of the West Michigan community and serves in several key leadership roles on boards around the state.

In his new role at Pinnacle, he will be responsible for business development, industry relations and strategic planning.

“Floyd’s resume speaks for itself,” said Michael Garrett, Pinnacle’s CEO. “Floyd is an excellent addition to the Pinnacle family and will allow us to better serve our clients and pursue new opportunities. … We are happy to have him.”

Recently, Pinnacle also added five more employees to the firm.

Matt Pothoven was hired as a project manager. He received his bachelor’s degree in construction management from Michigan State University.

Armando Martinez was hired as an associate architect. Martinez attended Lawrence Technological University, where he earned a B.S. in architecture.

Dave Arnold was hired as superintendent and is overseeing Pinnacle’s new Ace Hardware project being constructed at Pinnacle’s Knapp North Development.

Jordan Potter and Drew Pawlanta, a recent Hope College graduate, were hired as members of Pinnacle’s carpentry team.
