A Grand Rapids-based general contractor will manage its third project in a trilogy of major housing developments.

This one is being built in Meridian Township, which is just east of Lansing.

The Wolverine Building Group will join development firm Capstone Companies to break ground any day now on Hannah Lofts, a $33 million, high end mixed-use development.

Construction is set to begin early this month and be completed next July.

Hannah Lofts

Hannah Lofts consists of five buildings that total 592,000 square feet and 282 residential units with 688 beds.

Three of the structures will feature townhomes on the first three floors and flats will go in on the fourth levels.

The fourth building will have 7,545 square feet of retail space and a clubhouse for the residents, which will offer a 24-hour fitness space with free workout classes.

Hannah Loft residents will have access to tanning beds, a steam room, a swimming pool and a hot tub.

The project will be capped by a two story, 595-space parking deck that will be built in the courtyard, and won’t be visible from the street.

Hannah Lofts is the companion piece to the two Lodges of East Lansing that Capstone Companies developed and Wolverine built. Hannah Lofts, though, is the largest of the trio.

Dungan Nequette Architects designed all three buildings. Hannah Lofts has a contemporary design and offers high-quality furnishings.

Largest multi-family project

“Hannah Lofts is the largest multi-family project that Wolverine has completed in the past ten years, and it’s also the most complex project we’ve completed in such a short time frame. The fact that it’s so well designed and fully amenitized is just icing on the cake,” said Curt Mulder, Wolverine Building Group vice president.
