A Fort Worth, Texas-based company with a network of customer contact centers is planning to create 287 jobs by opening a site in the area.
NOVO 1 will invest $1.5 million and open a customer contact center in Cascade Township, at 2905 Lucerne Drive SE, as part of its Dialog Direct expansion and fill the positions over the next three years, according to The Right Place, a regional economic development nonprofit, on Wednesday.
The company’s contact centers are nearing capacity, and NOVO 1 needs to add to its network.
West Michigan was in competition with 23 other potential sites around the U.S., according to The Right Place.
NOVO 1 has received a $550,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant from the state for the project.
“The combination of community support, an outstanding labor market and our desire to create jobs in Michigan helped us make the decision to invest in Grand Rapids,” said Douglas Kearney, CEO of Dialog Direct.
NOVO 1 customer contact centers serve various industries: health care, insurance, finance, utility and retail.
The company specializes in customer insight, digital and direct marketing, e-commerce and fulfillment, customer service and sales.
The centers are designed to enhance each stage of the customer lifecycle and build long-term customer relationships.
NOVO 1 has 10 locations across the U.S., including in Holland and Highland Park.
The company’s Holland site employs nearly 500 employees and was established in 2010.
