Communications agency Cynthia Kay and Company has hired Michael Krampe to serve as vice president of marketing and strategic communications.

Krampe will be responsible for marketing and demand generation, as well as offering strategic communications consulting services to clients.

He has experience working in media relations and employee and crisis communications, as well as branding, advertising, events and social media.

Krampe most recently served as the director of strategic communications for Siemens Industry in Alpharetta, Ga., where he has led a variety of corporate communications functions during the past decade.

Krampe began his career with a public relations firm in Washington, D.C., before moving on to corporate communications with Rapistan Systems, now Dematic.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Michigan State University’s James Madison College.
