A new 5,000-square-foot day spa has opened in town.

The Woodhouse Day Spa Grand Rapids opened its doors last week at The Village at Knapp’s Crossing, at 2060 E. Beltline Ave. NE.

The day spa provides a variety of services: body, foot and hand treatments; massage therapy; couples massage; pre-natal massage; skin care; waxing; manicures; pedicures; aromatherapy bath cure; and sleep treatments.

The business also offers bookings for bachelorette and pre-wedding parties.

The Woodhouse Grand Rapids is owned and operated by husband-and-wife franchisees Michelle Pezzato and David Pezzato.

The couple expects to hire 50 to 60 employees.

“My wife and I are life-long residents of West Michigan, and we saw the need for a place where people can truly unplug,” David Pezzato said. “Woodhouse is unique, as guests will be able to experience a full-service, resort-style spa without having to leave Grand Rapids.”

Michelle Pezzato added, “In today’s hectic world, it is important that people remember to take time for themselves.”

The Woodhouse Day Spa will host a grand-opening open house on Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors can tour the space and enter drawings to win free services. There will be drawings every 30 minutes throughout the event.

Colliers International West Michigan assisted the owners in leasing the space.

The Woodhouse Day Spa Grand Rapids is the chain’s first location in West Michigan.

The company has multiple locations throughout the U.S., including two in Detroit and Rochester Hills.
