A pediatric dentist has opened a second office in a suburb.
Mitten Kids Dentistry on Oct. 2 opened a new office in Caledonia, at 6477 Cherry Meadow Drive SE.
The practice’s main office is at 1179 East Paris Ave. SE in Grand Rapids. Mitten Kids Dentistry was founded in 2015 by Dr. Brett Kingma. Dr. Grady Randall became a partner last year.
The new office has two entrances: a normal door for adults and a much smaller door, just for kids.
Décor for the new space is “Great Lakes-inspired,” showcasing images of wildlife and Michigan seasons. Kingma said he hopes patients will recognize from the moment they walk in that this is a “different type of dental practice.”
“We’re embracing who we are as Michiganders,” Kingma said. “The office is new and modern, but it’s also a place where kids are encouraged to be themselves and stay curious. It’s a really fun space and we can’t wait to share it with our patients.”
The practice said it sees patients from infancy to adulthood.
Office specialties include pediatric dental treatment, special needs dentistry, tongue ties, emergencies, laser dentistry and sedation dentistry.
Besides the two dentists, the practice has six hygienists, six assistants, one practice manager, one surgery coordinator and eight patient care coordinators.
