The second edition of the downtown Movies in the Park series is getting ready to roll.
Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., which presented three films in August, is planning a few more showings this fall, following ArtPrize in October.
Fall voting
And just like the first series, DRGI wants area film lovers to select the movies it will show.
So starting today, those choices can be made through DRGI’s online survey. The films that get the most votes will be shown on the outdoor screen in Ah-Nab-Awen Park on October 18 and 25.
Summer picks
More than 3,300 votes were cast in the first round of voting this summer. Voters selected “The Princess Bride,” “Back to the Future” and “Anchorman” from a field of 20 films.
The screenings are free and open to the public. Local vendors are expected to be there, too.
