The Grand Rapids Downtown Market will play host to about 120 exotic and rare cars this week.

A group of automotive enthusiasts called Cars & Coffee Grand Rapids will host their second and final display event of the season on Friday in the market’s parking lot, at 435 Ionia Ave. SW.

The event — which is free and open to the public — allows car owners to showcase their vehicles and network and share stories with fellow automobile lovers.

The market will shut down Ionia Avenue between Wealthy and Logan streets to accommodate the crowd.

Guests can expect to see rare, hot-rod, high-performance and European cars at the event.

The Ferrari Club of Michigan will bring 15-20 Ferraris from all over Michigan, representing different years and styles of the “iconic” car.
