Downtown restaurant and brewery partner on dinner and tap takeover

A restaurant downtown and a brewery are producing an event next week that will be highlighted by two vintages of a top limited-edition beer.

The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids will host the Founders Beer Dinner and Tap Takeover on Aug. 4 from 4-11 p.m.

The event starts with a cocktail reception at 4 p.m., which will feature a tap takeover with Founders’ Rubaeus, Mosaic Promise, Curmudgeon, ReDANKulous, All Day IPA, Palm Reader and Reds Rye.

A four-course beer dinner starts at 6 p.m.: chilled Maine lobster salad, paired with Rubeaus; hot-smoked Scottish salmon, paired with Mosaic Promise; prime barbecue beef brisket, paired with Curmudgeon; smoked ice cream cones, paired with 2015 and 2016 KBS.

An outdoor patio party along the river will being promptly following dinner and feature live music and raffle prizes.

Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased online.
