The Grand Rapids Public Schools’ Franklin Campus administrative offices were closed after another staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
The announcement follows two separate incidents of staff members at different Franklin Campus buildings testing positive for COVID-19. Those who were in close contact with the staff members were told to quarantine.
The campus could reopen Monday.
“We will be reinforcing daily health screening requirements, 6 feet of social distancing, proper mask use and requirements, hand washing, and cleaning/sanitization,” said John Helmholdt, a GRPS spokesperson. “We will also be conducting deep cleaning and sanitization in accordance with CDC guidelines.”
