Davenport University appointed two members to its board of trustees.

The university earlier this month selected Mark Stiers, president and COO of DTE Vantage and Energy Trading business units, and Keith Klingenberg, CEO and founder of Presidio Insurance Solutions, to join the board.

“This is a pivotal time for Davenport University,” said Richard Pappas, president, Davenport University. “We are laser-focused on meeting the talent needs our economy faces. The addition of these two highly skilled individuals to our board of trustees will bring both expertise and diversity of thought to our university.”

Stiers joined DTE Energy in 2006 and since has held various leadership positions. As president and COO of DTE Energy’s Vantage business unit, he directs the company’s operations across 74 U.S. sites and leads strategic planning and business development of the company.

As the president of DTE Energy Trading, he oversees the growth of the nonregulated subsidiary of DTE, which markets and trades electricity, natural gas and environmental products.

Stiers recently served as president and COO of DTE Gas.
