An entrepreneur has launched a business consultancy geared toward developing small and mid-market companies.
Craig Janusz — who helped grow Grand Haven-based plastics maker Iso-Trude from a startup to a $10-million business as a co-owner — has launched Strategic Solutions Enterprise in Grand Rapids.
The firm offers a group of strategies for companies designed to assist in scaling up operations and growing revenue.
“We are laser focused on creating the necessary action steps to grow a company’s revenue and profits,” Janusz, 61, said. “We concentrate on driving actions with our clients, and our unique fee structure guarantees that we work together as a team.”
Working in partnership with Gazelle International in Austin, Texas and the Lean Learning Center in Troy, Janusz’s firm works in four main areas of business: people, strategy, execution and cash management. Stategic Solutions works with management to prioritize and solve problems.
Prior to taking on a new client, Janusz said Strategic Solutions requests an operational appraisal from the leadership team, then conducts a free four-hour consultation on the findings. If the fit is right, the firm will proceed with the working relationship.
“Before we begin to work with clients, it is critical that we all understand the opportunities and challenges moving forward,” Janusz said. “The fit must be right, because we access sensitive information and work as a team to address what may be emotionally charged issues.”
Janusz became a co-owner of Iso-Trude in 1993, eventually selling the business to Lauren Plastics in 2013. Following the sale, Janusz stayed on for two years to complete the transition.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, he also holds an M.B.A. from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in Illinois.
